Homemade solutions for cracked lips

Homemade solutions for cracked lips

One of the most annoying symptoms of winter is chapped lips. If there is no other disease, dry and cracked lips are due to low temperatures. Although the weather does not yet seem to threaten us, it is a good idea to take our measures early so that you know how to hydrate when needed.

The lips are very thin, which makes them particularly sensitive. In addition, they do not have sebaceous glands such as the skin and are easy to dehydrate.

If you want to moisturize your lips and regain their softness, there are some simple, homemade recipes.

Balsam for lips

To make your own balm you will need beeswax, some honey and olive oil.

Using a ben - mari or something, melt 2 tablespoons of beeswax soup over hot water. Once it has melted, remove it from the hot water and add 2 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Stir well until it cools, and your mixture is ready.

Honey and olive oil are two ingredients that can soften the cracked lips on their own. But for best results, there are many combinations of them with other materials.

A simple recipe

If you want something simpler than the previous recipe containing beeswax, you can use honey, olive oil and sugar (white or black). This time the quantities will be smaller, because the mixture should be used immediately.

Mix 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of oil, 1 teaspoon of sugar and your mixture is ready.

Instead of olive oil you can put almond oil or coconut oil for more hydration.

Recipe for children

Below we will help you make a mix that children will love. This recipe is more professional and works great on cracked lips.

The mixture you make can be stored in small jars so you can carry it with you.

This time you will need beeswax, honey, cocoa butter and almond oil.

Mix half a cup of almond oil, 4 tablespoons cocoa butter, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon bee wax. Then melt the mixture on low heat and once it has cooled you have a medicine for your lips.

Optionally you can drip a few drops of orange for even more flavor.

Finally, you should know that if your lips are cracked, it is best to stop licking them because you will make their condition worse instead of improving it.
